Milwaukee Baha’i Feasts in October and November 2020

Dear Friends,
The Milwaukee Baha’i Community continues to meet by Zoom instead of in person during these challenging times.  We are so pleased to welcome Baha’is who wouldn’t be able to attend in person, including out-of-town guests.

You can join a Zoom meeting with a smartphone app, on a computer or tablet, or on your landline phone or cell phone.  You do not need to have a camera. You can join with audio only using any telephone that can make long distance calls.

All Zoom meetings use the same set of phone numbers, which, unfortunately do not include a number in a Milwaukee area code.

For info about how to connect to our Zoom meetings, contact lsamilwaukee@gmail.com

The following Feasts are scheduled to meet on the Feast day, or evening before the Feast day when sunset is before 7:00 pm. This is because in the Baha’i calendar, each day starts at sunset of the evening before the date.

‘Ilm / Knowledge on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 pm

Qudrat /Power on Monday, Nov. 2 at 7:00 pm

Qawl / Speech on Saturday, Nov 21 at 7:00 pm

Special 2-Night Baha’i Zoom Event by Eric Dozier

ERIC DOZIER THE COVENANT AND RACIAL JUSTICE
OCTOBER 16 & 23
7:00–9:00 P.M. EACH NIGHT

PLEASE REGISTER AT

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. The Bahá’í Faith is one of specificity and particularity on the issue of race. Not only do we believe that the Revelator brought Divine Teachings, but much like a skilled physician, He has diagnosed the malady and issued a prescription for healing. He has refined the vocabulary necessary to revolutionize the discourse. We are also blessed to have the work of racial justice personified in the person of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and this is essential in an environment where words are consistently twisted and perverted and used to undermine the Cause of Justice.

The workshop will focus on the following areas:

The Covenant and Racial Justice
Lessons Learned from the Life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
Seeing Through The Pupil of the Eye: Black People and the Bahá’í Faith
RE-Assessing the American Dream: The Immigrant Experience of Race

Sponsored by “From the Same Dust,” a Bahá’í Group
