Cedarburg Project – Strengthening the Virtues Within

Cedarburg Project – Strengthening the Virtues Within: Would you like to join a new group coming together to inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life? Would you like to experience the unifying effects of focusing on those qualities that make us human – the qualities that are the very best of what humans are and aspire to?

Join us one night each month when we focus on a virtue and share with one another how it transforms our lives. Learn strategies for using these virtues to create safer, more caring, more supportive and effective families and communities. Come to one, come to all. The gatherings are designed for ages 10 years to 100.

The meetings are loosely based on activities used by The Virtues Project International. Give yourself the gift of growing bonds of friendship while we celebrate what we have in common. All meetings are held at the Cedarburg Library, usually the last Monday of each month at 6:30pm.

Not meeting in December

January 16, 2020

We hope with this advanced notice you can mark your calendars and join us. Do not worry if you do not have a copy of this book: “Tears We Cannot Stop.” We will read it aloud or perhaps listen to the author read it aloud! This will stimulate discussions which will be helpful to all of us.

Please feel free to post or invite others too!

Greetings,

Ellen Parmelee and Kathy Wurzer

How You Can Support the Fourth Quarter Cluster Activity Period

Milwaukee Cluster Report

Below is a list compiled at the January Cluster Reflection
meeting of actions we are hoping everyone in the cluster can
participate in. Beginning now, we can gear up our energies for the
intensive growth period during which we are to try to find receptive
souls with which to speak of the teachings of the Baha’i Faith.

We wish to specifically call your attention to the “TOSA Together”
sponsored Celebration of Black History Month. This will be held at the
Wauwatosa Public Library on the evening of February 21st at 7:00pm.
We are encouraging everyone who is interested to attend. The “Amazing
Faiths Dinner” is an event hosted by Milwaukee Interfaith and they are
handling a limited number of invitations through their membership –
prayers for support are welcome.

YOU CAN HELP WITH ONE OR MORE OF THESE ACTIONS

We are going to start the fourth quarter of the Cluster activity
period:

  • Daily Prayers from Feb. 7-March 2 (Mulk): Prayer for America and/or
Prayer for Central States with intent to support two Cluster
activities and expand diversity in Cluster.
  • Focus spiritual prayer resources to support two Baha’i involved
Cluster activities: Amazing Faiths dinner (2/24/19) and Tosa Together
Celebration of Black History month (2/21/19).
  • Study the letter from National (Dec. 25, 2018) re: Advent of Divine
    Justice individually or with another.
  • Attend a Ruhi study circle or participate in “Study Points” – by
studying a Ruhi book with a friend on an individualized schedule 1:1.
  • Focus on expanding diversity relationships: visit Sherman Phoenix
(3536 W Fond Du Lac Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53216) alone or with another
Baha’i to develop potential relationships with Persons of Color.
  • Go through Book 5 – Releasing the Power of Junior Youth to prepare
for next cycle of support to Youth Animators/Tutors.
  • SAVE THE DATE AND PLAN TO ATTEND NEXT CLUSTER MEETING:
MARCH 2, 2019 ???? This meeting date is currently not definite.
